Explore Yuumi's attached enchanter style, when her scaling buffs fit a draft, and what lane pressure and engage can punish her early.

Yuumi Counter Strategy & Strategy (Patch 16.11)
When to Counter Yuumi
Pick Yuumi when your draft has one or two champions that become much harder to stop with extra speed, healing, and sustained support layered onto them. She fits best in comps built around a carry diver or scaling marksman that can fully use her attached utility. Yuumi also makes sense when the enemy bot lane cannot consistently punish her weaker early presence.
How to Counter Yuumi Strategy
Attack Yuumi's lane before she reaches the midgame pairing she really wants, because passive early lanes are exactly what let her scale for free. Forcing repeated all-ins, roams, and wave crashes onto her lane partner makes her attachment much less comfortable. In later fights, splitting threats across multiple angles can strain the single-anchor pattern that gives Yuumi her value.
Yuumi Targeted Build Strategy
Knowing Yuumi's ideal items helps you build optimal counters.
Yuumi Key Weaknesses
Yuumi contributes very little lane presence on her own and depends heavily on her partner surviving the early game with enough resources. Her value is also concentrated on one anchor at a time, which means coordinated multi-angle pressure can stretch her utility thin.
Worst Matchups for Yuumi
Blitzcrank, Pyke, Rell, Alistar, and Senna consistently make Yuumi's game harder by forcing early lane pressure or punishing the partner she must rely on. These matchups attack the weakest phase of her kit before her scaling support takes over.
Best Champions Against Yuumi
Hecarim, Zeri, Sivir, Aatrox, and Master Yi are excellent with Yuumi because they transform her speed, healing, and sticking power into overwhelming chase or carry threat. She shines brightest when attached to allies that can fully convert constant support into fight-winning momentum.
Yuumi Counter Tips & Summary
Yuumi is an attached enchanter who amplifies one teammate through sustained healing, movement support, and teamfight control without exposing herself in standard positioning. She offers powerful scaling with the right partner, but her lane is fragile and her early impact can be denied by aggressive tempo.
