Xayah Champion Overview and ADC Guide
Understand Xayah's feather-based carry style, when her anti-dive tools fit a draft, and what range and lane pressure can challenge her.

Xayah Counter Strategy & Strategy (Patch 16.11)
When to Counter Xayah
Pick Xayah when the enemy team wants to dive hard onto the backline and your draft values an ADC that can punish committed entries rather than just flee from them. She is especially effective in structured teamfights where opponents must walk through feather lines to reach her. Xayah also fits comps that want steady late damage without relying on a support to save her every fight.
How to Counter Xayah Strategy
Do not dive blindly through her feather setup or assume she is vulnerable just because she is standing forward for damage. Baiting out Featherstorm or forcing her to use feathers defensively before the real engage removes a large part of her safety. Long-range pressure also matters because Xayah is less comfortable when she has to fight from behind wave control.
Xayah Targeted Build Strategy
Knowing Xayah's ideal items helps you build optimal counters.
Xayah Key Weaknesses
Xayah still operates at fairly moderate ADC range, so she can be pressured by longer-range carries before her feather threat fully matters. Her strongest self-peel also depends on timing and setup, which means awkward fights can leave her without a clean defensive answer.
Worst Matchups for Xayah
Caitlyn, Ashe, Varus, Ziggs, and Xerath support pairings consistently make Xayah's game harder by outranging her and forcing her to cede lane space before teamfights start. These matchups pressure the shorter lane spacing she needs to manage well.
Best Champions Against Xayah
Rakan, Nautilus, Braum, Alistar, and Orianna pair beautifully with Xayah because they either set up her feather damage or help preserve the front-to-back fights where she thrives. Their engage or peel lets her play aggressively without losing control of the battlefield.
Xayah Counter Tips & Summary
Xayah is a self-peeling marksman who wins through feather traps, strong front-to-back damage, and the ability to punish dives with precise recall timing. She offers excellent anti-engage value, but her shorter range means she still needs careful spacing against poke and lane bullies.
