Kled Champion Overview and Playstyle Guide
See when Kled is a strong draft choice, how his all-ins and charge pressure work, and what spacing and disengage make him unreliable.

Kled Counter Strategy & Strategy (Patch 16.11)
When to Counter Kled
Pick Kled when your team wants a top laner that can create chaos early and start fights without waiting for a perfect flank. He fits especially well into dive-heavy drafts and games where side-lane pressure can turn into long chase patterns. Kled also makes sense into squishier teams that dislike direct engages and struggle to reset fights once he charges in.
How to Counter Kled Strategy
Do not take reckless extended all-ins when Kled has both mount health and room to keep chasing through the lane. Breaking contact after his first burst and punishing the dismounted window matters more than standing and fighting through his strongest pattern. In teamfights, peeling the initial charge and forcing him into awkward re-entries lowers much of his value.
Kled Targeted Build Strategy
Knowing Kled's ideal items helps you build optimal counters.
Kled Key Weaknesses
Kled commits very directly, so teams with good spacing can make his engage feel one-dimensional after the first contact fails. His dismounted state is also a structural vulnerability, because it gives opponents a clear window to finish or zone him.
Worst Matchups for Kled
Fiora, Jax, Poppy, Gnar, and Camille consistently make Kled's job harder by denying clean all-ins or punishing the moments after he commits too far forward. These champions attack the direct access pattern that his whole threat profile depends on.
Best Champions Against Kled
Galio, Nocturne, Jarvan IV, Taliyah, and Twisted Fate pair extremely well with Kled because they reinforce his aggressive starts and help turn his charge into an immediate numbers advantage. Their map pressure or follow-up makes his engage much harder to disengage from cleanly.
Kled Counter Tips & Summary
Kled is an aggressive bruiser who wins through nonstop all-ins, fearless tower pressure, and fight-starting ultimates that collapse on carries quickly. He offers huge lane volatility and direct engage value, but his fights become awkward when enemies kite out his first commit or punish his dismounted form.
