Pick Amumu when your team has strong follow-up damage and wants decisive fights around objectives, choke points, or grouped opponents. He is especially effective into drafts that lack multiple disengage tools and struggle when forced to stand close together. Amumu also makes sense when your carries want a simple front line that can start fights for them instead of waiting on flanks.
How to Counter Amumu Strategy
Track his approach routes and keep fights spread out so one Bandage Toss or ultimate does not lock down multiple targets for free. Invading or contesting early jungle tempo can slow the clean level curve he wants before midgame fights arrive.
